As an attempt to have its students more engaged in the activities held by the directorate of public health in Gaza strip, as well as an extracurricular scientific activity, the IUG Medical school has arranged a day out for the 3rd-Year students to give a visit to the Public Health Laboratory of the Ministry of Health. It was an eye-opening experience through which the students noticed the role the laboratory itself plays in the protection against biohazards that pose a threat to the health of civilians and environment. This is commenced by a complex process of supervision and control over food, medication and drinking water.
