3rd Conference: Updates in Pediatrics

The Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University in Gaza held its third scientific conference, titled Updates in Pediatrics on the 14th and 15th of October 2010 at the main conference hall at the Islamic University.
The opening session of the conference was attended by Dr. Basem Naim, the Minister of Health, Jamal Al Khodari,  Chairman of the Board of trustees at the Islamic University, Dr. Kamaleen Sha’at, President of the Islamic University, Dr. Mofeed Al Mokhalalati, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Rajab Akdag, the Turkish Minister of Health via a recorded speech, Prof. Ternes Stephenson, the President of the British Royal College of Paediatrics via a recorded speech, Dr. Jehad Hammad, the Chairman of the organizing committee of the conference, Dr. Anwar Al Shaikh Khalil, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Clinical Sciences and the Chairman of the scientific committee, and a number of Ministry of Health officials, doctors, researchers, and representatives of participating medical institutions in the medical exhibition of the conference.
The conference addressed various aspects of pediatrics, which were of added value to the medical practice in the Gaza strip and helped provide doctors with the latest information in pediatrics.
