Faculty of Medicine Receives  Scottish Medical Delegation

The Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University received  a Scottish delegation who is on a visit  to train medical students on palliative care  which is a course within the study plan of the department.

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. Fadel Naim explained that the delegation will conduct  a series of meetings with workers in the relevant sections, including: oncology, rehabilitation, and intensive care at the Ministry of Health and health institutions operating in the Gaza Strip.


Dr. Naim pointed out that the visiting delegation will participate in the workshop convened by the WHO Gaza-based office about the palliative treatment and ways to strengthen its practice in health institutions in the Gaza Strip in the presence of a number of decision-makers in the Ministry of Health and civil health institutions and UNRWA.

It is worth mentioning that the delegation will stay in the Gaza Strip for 10 days to develop the capacity of medical students on palliative care for those whose lives approach  an end.
