Medicine Faculty holds a Seminar on Infectious Diseases

In collaboration with Royal College of Edinburgh, Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University has held day seminar on infectious diseases. The day, which is part of the Faculty’s professional development activities, was held via Skype with the Royal Edinburgh College, with the coordination of Medical Aid for Palestine (MAP)-UK.

During the day attended by a large number of specialists and doctors, a number of scientific papers were presented addressing communicable and infectious diseases, their most prominent causes, and their methods of treatment and alternative therapies were discussed.


The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Dr. Fadel Naeem stressed that this day came as a contribution from the faculty at the Islamic University in the support and development of health personnel. He also stressed on the importance of such meetings as essential steps to overcome all the obstacles imposed on health personnel due to the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip, hindering communication with the outside world and participation in international conferences.

One of the most important papers discussed during the day was titled:
