A delegation from OCHA, from United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, visited the Islamic University of Gaza. The delegation was headed by Dr. Katleen Maes, Head of Gaza Sub-office, accompanied by Mr. Hamada A. Al-Bayari, Humanitarian Affairs Officer at Gaza Office.
Dr. Fadel Naem, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Basim Naem, Head of Hayat Centre for Emergency and Crisis Management at IUG, received the delegation.
Both sides discussed coordination to reinforce medical emergency needs in Palestine and how to support such needs.
Dr. Basim Naem talked about Hayat Centre’s mission that concentrates on providing training on medical emergencies and how to have a well prepared plan for emergency coordination in Palestine.
