18 trainees attend a Faculty-organized ACLS course certified by AHA

The Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University has organized a training course in Advanced Cardiac Life Support “ACLS”. The course was implemented in cooperation with the American Heart Association “AHA” and Juzoor Foundation.

 

Dr. Fadel Naim, dean of medicine at IUG, started the course by welcoming trainers and trainees, confirming his faculty’s full support for the process of continuous medical education.

 

The course started on 20 of January, and extended over 2 days. Eighteen trainees have participated in the course, which included practical sessions and simulations performed under the direct observation of AHA certified trainers. Trainers included Dr. Robert E. Haynes and Dr. Bill Dienst, who both came from Seattle, and Dr. Mohammed Matar, Mr. Sami Jaber and Mr. Khaled Khaddura from the Ministry of Health.
